Linksys Gaming Router Firmware Upgrade for WPA / WPA2

Linksys (Cisco) has refused to upgrade firmware to support from WEP to the current WPA / WPA2 standards for gaming router equipment to coincide with their current standard router and router firmware that does support these standards. This is confirmed as I have personally contacted them via phone over this matter.
As of current events, WEP has been deemed useless for security of those who want such in their networks and is easily hacked, even if locked down through MAC address.
This is to tell Linksys that an update is needed urgently so that we all don't have to throw away our gaming router equipment to save our networks from being compromised and to enjoy the update in security that we should all get no matter the hardware.
