To the Councillors of the City of Lismore
Your petitioners wish you to know that:
We, the undersigned state that the Koala must be managed so that existing koala habitat is protected from development throughout the koala planning area as defined in the Draft Comprehensive Koala Plan of Management for South-East Lismore (CKPoM). We also state that the various management actions contained in the Draft CKPoM including creation, protection and management of tracts of new habitat areas are necessary to ensure that koala numbers in the koala planning area increase to healthy sustainable levels. We therefore support approval and implementation of the Draft CKPoM in its entirety. We also support extension of a Comprehensive Koala Plan of Management across the entire local government area of Lismore in due course.
