We agree that there is a dire need for locker space on campus for the use of students on a long term (semester) basis to store books, gym kit etc. and to enable a greater number of people to cycle up to the university, supporting the environmental sustainability policy set by the university.
Furthermore we would support any decision to make the assignments of such lockers the responsibility of the Student's Union rather than the individual departments in order for a greater equality.
