Dear Mr. Jason Kenny,
We, the undersigned, are a group of students who have applied for study permit in the embassy of Canada to Tehran and Ankara.
After the closure of visa office in Tehran and the transfer of documents to Ankara office on April 29th, processing of lots of Iranian applications were suspended or stopped. Now, for some of us, it is even more than 5 months that we are unaware of the results of our applications and unfortunately visa office in Ankara does not answer any of our questions by email, fax, and telephone or even in person.
Due to this unpredictable change, some of us had to defer our academic semester from May to September and this long delay and not receiving any news from the visa section in Ankara have made us deeply worried. Moreover as you know the situation of study permit applicants is more sensitive because of university deadlines for registration and we are worried that we may also miss the September semester.
Because of the above mentioned reasons we hereby request you to voice our concerns regarding this long delay and unusual situation in processing visa applications and we really appreciate it if you can take immediate and necessary steps to help us in this hard situation and speed up processing applications for study permit.
Your immediate attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
