M.S.Viswanathan, popularly known as "Mellisai Mannar" meaning "King of Light Music", is the person who ruled the South Indian Film Industry through his Music for decades together.

His achievements range from bringing out new trends in melodies, tunes and orchestration to introducing various genres of World Music to Indian Cinema. He is rightly called by the people as the "University of Music".

The man of such caliber has not been conferred any of the top civilian honors awarded by governments of Tamil Nadu and India.

This petition is to request the government of Tamil Nadu and India to consider this matter and do the needful to respect MSVs talents without further delay.

He is the most deserving civilian in India, and all the undersigned, request a speedy review of the situation and honor MSV.
