Millbank Park Ground Surface

As many of you know, the Town Of Oakville, in the fall replaced the playground equipment at Millbank Park (corner of Glenashton and Millbank). In doing so, they installed a great play structure but removed all the sand and replaced it with wood chips. It was understood by many community members that the wood chip surface was a temporary measure until the warmer weather arrived and rubberized surface could be done.
The Town of Oakville does not plan to put the rubberized surface down as it is a huge cost. The Town plans for the wood chips to remain. I am hearing from many community members that they would like the sand back but if not want the rubberized surface because their children are getting splinters form playing at the park since the woodchips have been installed.
In order to bring this concern forth and for us to be heard by the Town, your support is needed. Please sign the petition, so your concerns can be heard!
