Miss George Wythe Pageant 2007

Soon after the pageant, the principal of George Wythe was approached by a contestant who felt she shouldve been crowned that night, not Tiffany. Unfortunately, for reasons we are still unsure of, the principal agreed that the pageant results were inaccurate. His final decision was to move Tiffany Sexton to 4th Runner Up, and all of the other contestants would be moved forward a position.
Outraged by this injustice, Tiffanys mother decided to talk to the principal, though her many appeals went unheard. After further investigation, Tiffanys mother found that score cards, which were suppose to be destroyed immediately following the pageant, were still very much in existence, not only had they not been destroyed, but they had been released to the view of another contestant and had been tampered with. Score cards which *no contestants are allowed to see*.
With no luck appealing to the principal, Tiffanys mother turned to the Wythe County School Board. After days of deliberation, the school board returned a verdict to void the pageant completely. Instead of keeping with the decision made by the judges on the night of the pageant, the school decided to take the easy way out so to speak, and void the pageant, because they felt it to be the fairest way. We disagree with this decision and feel that the school board should have withstood to uphold the integrity of the pageant and declared that the decision the judges rendered the night of the pageant would be the decision that remained. It is for this reason that we have created this petition to appeal these decisions.
We, the undersigned, feel that the Wythe County School Boards decision to void the Miss George Wythe 2007 pageant is unacceptable, and that the decision should be retracted and the crown should be returned to its rightful winner, Tiffany Sexton. We feel that the Principal of George Wythe, and the Wythe County School Board should offer Tiffany Sexton nothing less than a Public Apology for any embarrassment they may have caused her based on their dissolute decisions to not only revoke the crown awarded to her in front of her family and friends, because another contestant decided they shouldve won, but also their misguided decision to void the pageant completely.
