NEW CANADIAN FEDERAL POLITICAL PARTY DRIVE: "RCR"

RALLY FOR A CANADIAN REPUBLIC / RASSEMBLEMENT CANADIEN POUR UNE REPUBLIQUE

Whereas the Canada Elections Act requires 250 signatures of new Members or persons willing to be Members, with the following information:

* the member's surname and given name(s)

* the member's full residential address and mailing address, if different

* the member's date of birth (optional) along with authorization for Elections Canada to verify the information using the National Register of Electors (optional)

* confirmation that the member is a qualified elector under the Act (i.e. 18 years old and a Canadian citizen), is a member of the political party and supports its application for registration

* acknowledgement that the member is aware that it is an offence under the Act to make a false or misleading declaration

To be valid, the member's declaration must be signed and dated.

AND WHEREAS we, the undersigned, believe in the following set of principles for the governance of Canada, the sum of which is not perfectly reflected in any existing federal party in Canada;

* That a Republic with an Elected Governor General is the most Just form of Government that Canadians can have

* That a Canadian Republic would remain true to Canadian Social Democratic principles favouring universal education, medicare, and welfare

* That the term "Royal" in Canadian institutions should be retained but re-defined as a synonym for Canadian National

* That an Elected Senate is the future of that Canadian institution

* That a political party free from undue influence by lobbyists is desirable

* That a political party devoting its promotional and electoral efforts entirely to the New Media & Internet is desirable

* That building a sustainable future means Canada should vigorously endeavour to improve relations with First Nations

* That building a sustainable future means Canada should vigorously endeavour to improve governance of the Environment

* That building a sustainable future means Canada should vigorously endeavour to create a much enlarged knowledge economy

AND WHEREAS we remain committed to Bilingualism and Quebec's Inclusion in Canada forevermore, while recognizing Quebec's distinctiveness

AND WHEREAS we respect the Queen of Canada but are of the opinion that the Creation of a Canadian Republic within the Commonwealth is preferable in the future

We the undersigned agree to provide signatures and such personal information as is needed to form and create the Rally for a Canadian Republic / Rassemblement canadien pour une Rйpublique
