New Zealans support for Israel

We the undersigned ask of the New Zealand government to issue a statement of support for Israels actions in the Gaza strip. We realise that the loss of non combatant life is saddening and that Israel regrets such losses, but the reality is that Hamas fighters use women children and the elderly as human shields and hide in there homes. Were as Hamas deliberately targets Israeli civilians. The Israeli defence forces (I.D.F) does not actively seek to harm civilians. Israel is defending what is some of the basic principals of democracy to live free and without fear. When rockets fall on your homes then you can not live free and without fear, when rockets hit schools then you can not allow your children to access the right to a free education. We ask of our government this question If rockets were falling on your homes would you not expect your leaders to act? we the undersigned know we would. As a democracy New Zealand can surly see the principals and rights that Israel is trying to protect the right for its people to live in peace and without fear. If New Zealand can not support this basic principal of democracy then can we really call our selves democratic?

We urge the New Zealand government to issue a statement of support to Israel.
