In the state of New Jersey, the sworn-in governer Codey has passed a bill that bans smoking in public places - including bars, restaurants, and other such public places. Understandably, people shouldn't be smoking in the first place because there's no real benefits to it. But, those who start smoking become dependent on the nicotine, and "just stopping" isn't an option to every smoker. I go to a restaurant with my friends to sit down, relax, smoke a cigarette or two, eat, and socialize. Now, that's becoming more and more impossible because of this new bill, and it has put a cramp in my social life. Also, this bill is endlessly harmful to the restaurant and entertainment business in New Jersey, since virtually every smoker will no longer frequent their favorite locations. Many restaurant and bar owners are complaining about this, and I say it's high time we do something about it.
