NO to biomass thermoelectric central at Canale d'Alba, Piedmont, Italy

Citizens consider the construction of a biomass thermoelectric central might determine serious consequences to health and environment. They think in this case there are all the conditions in order that people may express their own opinion democratically.
Given that such a building:
- is hurtful to health
- may be converted to something more dangerous (as example, coal central)
- will determine an increase of heavy traffic
- will have a remarkable environmental impact
- will bear a sensible depreciation of tourism and related activities
They say NO to realization of this project, that is not suitable with characteristics of the territory.
They ask to adminitrators of their towns to defend the health and the territory writing down their opinion by an official document.
The result of the petition, even if does not bind the adminitrators, will permit the citizens to take part, conscious and aware, to decisions on towns of their own.
