We, the undersigned, denounce the shameless and deceitful Peoples Initiative of Gloria or PIG to push for charter change. It is a clear violation of the constitution and mocks established jurisprudence.

We enjoin all decent and freedom-loving Filipinos from all over the world to actively oppose this farce, and categorically declare NO TO PIG.

We also declare that charter change is NOT the answer to our current political crisis of legitimacy. Instead, we ask GMA to seek a fresh mandate from the people through snap elections to once and for all settle the issue of legitimacy.

We call on the Filipino people to come together and demand a snap election. Let the people decide whether GMA should continue, or answer the most frequently asked question: who will replace her? Together, let us declare, YES TO SNAP.

We appeal to institutions and sectors of society to do their share in making both happen.

TO THE SUPREME COURT JUSTICES

We ask that you unequivocally reaffirm your ruling that there is no enabling law for the peoples initiative and stop posthaste the palace-initiated petition. While at it, we ask that you render a ruling on PP1017, EO 464, and CPR with expediency. You are the last bastion of freedom and liberty, and your timely decision on these controversial issues will provide stability to a nation in crisis.

TO CONGRESSMEN

Extension of your term and the ability to select the countrys chief executive from your own ranks are appealing. We ask that you rise above your personal interests. Rather than pursuing charter change at this time, we appeal that you put closure on the issue of legitimacy first. Send the impeachment complaint to the senate so that the truth can finally be heard. Or work with the senate in a bullet amendment of the constitution to enable snap elections. This way, we involve the sovereign people in deciding how to end this crisis.

TO OUR SENATORS

Continue to oppose and expose the excesses of the Executive and a compliant Congress, especially the bogus Peoples Initiative. Beyond that, take the lead in pursuing a bullet amendment that will pave the way for a snap election.

TO THE PRESIDENT

The legitimacy of your presidency is at the very heart of this crisis. Only a fresh mandate from the people will settle it with finality. Call for a snap election. Use the vast resources of your office to influence the revamp of Comelec towards a more credible body. Rally your allies in Congress to enable snap elections. This is the only way you can redeem your lost credibility. Be a president of the people, and by the people.

TO THE ANTI-GMA GROUPS

We all have visions for a better Philippines. We may have different views on how to achieve them, but we are one in demanding accountability from an errant president. For the sake of unity, let us join hands in opposing PIG, and advocating snap elections. Let us, in good faith, commit to abide by the results of a credible election. It is, after all, the voice of the people. And let us declare boldly that, should GMA secure a fresh mandate from the people, we will stop all protest actions.

TO THE FILIPINO PEOPLE

The future of the nation is at stake. GMA has raised the ante with the Palace Initiative ni Gloria or PIG. You can no longer dismiss it as political noise and nonchalantly say, lets move on. Whatever your political convictions are, the time to speak is now and the best way to express it is through the ballot.

Join us, and invite others, in saying, NO to PIG. YES to SNAP. NOW NA!

Then and only then, can we all say, Lets move on!
