Obama Resignation

We the undersigned supported and, for many, worked fervently to support Barack Obama in his quest for the Democratic nomination and then the Presidency. Because of our tireless work and prayers and hope and finally vote, we successfully accomplished our goal to elect Mr. Obama to the Presidency. After two years it has become clear that we have made an embarrassing mistake.

Mr. Obama has proved himself unable to fulfill the responsibilities of the Presidency. He has proved incapable of articulating coherent policies, incapable of articulating a coherent vision, and incapable of putting forth and defending policies for which we worked so diligently to elect him.

To remind him and others where he has failed, a quote from his inaugural address, towit:

To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history, but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.

Mr. Obama has described himself as having infinite patience and continues to extend a hand and acquiesce in dealing with the clenched fist of the Republican right wing, as those of us who supported him see our jobs disappear, our wages stagnate, as the rich, the bankers, the investment brokers and their Republican supporters suck the life blood of what is left of the middle class. The shellacking which the Republicans imposed on the Democrats, justifiably, during the midterm elections only promises to make our lives more miserable and the rich far richer.

We, the undersigned, do not have nor can afford infinite patience.

We, the undersigned, who voted for Barack Obama in 2008 for President of the United States, by our signatures, do hereby sadly and reluctantly, with no animosity towards President Obama personally, request and demand that he resign immediately from the office of the Presidency, allowing such Office to be occupied by Vice President Joseph Biden, who we hope and believe is substantially more qualified to occupy that Office.
