Oppose the Oriental City development

The Oriental City Shopping Centre in 399 Edgware Road, Colindale, NW9, has been there 10yrs and have become an Oriental Landmark, a replacement to the London Chinatown. It has served multi-culturally, all ethnics and nationals, as well as the local residents.











The Pre-application has been going on since 2002. The Full Planning Notice to regenerate a new Oriental City shopping Centre and housing other retails was served at the entrance this July 2006. Importantly, all the Shopping Centre Tenants and Leaseholders were never officially notify, even to today.











Building/regenerating a 10yrs old popular shopping centre without the concern of the users and occupier is out of order, cruel and forceful in that the owner/developer seems to just want to push people out and just do what they want.











We ask people to support us; to ask the developer to conduct a detail survey on the users and occupiers thoughts on the regeneration issues. The developer should not just develop without concerning the impact to the users especially the Oriental People
