We, the undersigned, express full-bloodedly our consternation that MJ Hibbett, international music star, has been consistently overlooked in the New Year's Honours list this past decade. Now is the time for Mr Blair to amend one of the great oversights of his office and award MJ Hibbett at least an OBE.
Mr Hibbett has tirelessly promoted good sportsmanship ("The Fairplay Trophy (Again)")and equal rights ("The Gay Train") while warning against the perils of binge drinking ("Clubbing In The Week") and the illegality of downloading ("Home Taping Is Killing Music").
Most recently, he has devoted his time to bridging the generation gap in our rapidly diverging society. He has brought modern sounds to the elderly by seamlessly translating hip hop to the ukulele idiom and introduced the young to forgotten music hall classics.
MJ Hibbett is not, after expenses, paid for this work which he carries out in his spare time
