This is a petition from the tenants of Oxford Village Apartments in response to the lack of communication and competency displayed by Ambling Management and the respective owners regarding the inadequate speed, and frequently offline internet connection at Oxford Village during the 2006 spring semester.
We (the tenants) demand reimbursement for the internet fee portion of the May 2006 rent in which finals took place, and the internet amenity problems were of great hindrance to our studies.
Oxford Village is student housing, with students being dependant on a proper internet connection to complete their studies. When undertaking university housing, Ambling Management has a commitment to students to ensure that a proper internet connection is in place. The internet at Oxford Village has been plagued by a poorly set up system for the duration of its existence, with the problems of lost connection dating back to February 2006 when Ambling Management was made aware of the issue. No initiative or remedy for this problem has been communicated to the tenants. This is unacceptable on the part of Ambling Management/respective owners. The lack of concern and response requires accountability and, as a consequence, we demand compensation in the form of an internet fee reimbursement.
