The parking situation at Vancouver Island University is unacceptable. The university sells an infinite amount of passes for a very finite amount of spaces. Students should not have to worry about whether they are going to be able to get to class on time because of the lack of parking on campus.
A students focus should be on academic excellence and not the stress of getting ticketed every day for parking somewhere the University deems "not a spot". Now that the University is building more spaces for students to come and study this problem is going to get substantialy worse.
Their has been no action by Vancouver Island University to adress this issue, or even aknowledge that it is a major problem facing many students. We must make sure that our voice is heard.
