July, 2004

We, the undersigned, do not approve of the revised dress code, effective August, 2004. We agree with the Hillel Day School Mission Statement and understand the importance of appropriate school attire. However, the June, 2004 statement that outlines the new acceptable and unacceptable clothing for students is too rigid and places an excessive burden on Hillel Day School Families. The required dress code will hamper our children's positive feelings about going to Hillel Day School. We have the utmost respect and trust in you as Head of School and hope you will hold a parent meeting to discuss alternatives to the revised dress code.
