Petition to the House of Commons in Parliament Assembled and the Government of Canada.
We, the undersigned, citizens of Canada and caring members of the human race;
Wish to draw the attention of the House of Commons in Parliament Assembled and the Government of Canada to the plight of the Rohingya Muslims of Burma/Myanmar, the conditions of the camps where they are segregated from other refugees and subjected to further degradation and abuses.
As Canadians are known for our kindness and as being humanitarians, we should strongly encourage the government of Burma/Myanmar to treat all "displaced people" equally, rather than further persecute the Rohingya.
More over, as the human rights abuses and degradation far out weight any business gains that may be had from Burma/Myanmar we ask that the sanctions against Burma/Myanmar be reinstated until such a time as the government of Burma/Myanmar reinstate the citizenship of all Rohingya.
