PETITION TO THE VICE CHANCELLOR

The National Association of Teachers in Further and Higher Education (NATFHE) is currently imposing action short of a (national) strike, whereby NATFHE lecturers are not supposed to give back assessed marks to students, in the hope that this will put pressure on Universities to increase lecturers pay.
This is having a negative effect on the academic experience of students and staff morale, and is leading to both feeling undervalued by this University.
Therefore, on behalf of the Striking Lecturers and the Student Union at Bournemouth University we, the undersigned, would like to ask the Vice Chancellor of Bournemouth University to use his influence with other Universities and UCEA to settle the strike action ASAP.
