Phase IV Special Edition DVD

In July 2008, Legend Films released title designer Saul Bass's Sci-Fi movie Phase IV (1974). Sadly, this DVD was without any extras, and most importantly, it didn't have the uncut version, which was shown briefly in theaters before being re-edited by Paramount Pictures, the theatrical distributor and co-copyright holder of Phase IV.
Back in 1974 when Phase IV had it's test screening, it's climax was a montage of visual and optical effects, showing what Earth would be like following an insect invasion. Fearing that the audience wouldn't grasp the climax, Paramount Pictures interfered, reducing the climax to a surreal, unintelligible series of images.
If you are up for the task, it would be great if you would release a special edition of Phase IV, including the uncut (93 minutes) and cut prints (84 minutes), but first and foremost the uncut version. Some neat extras such as commentaries, trailers, TV spots and so on would round it off nicely.
