As fans of the New York Mets, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for adding not only a great pitcher in Pedro Martinez, but a superstar as well in Carlos Beltran. Combine Beltran with the maturing of Jose Reyes and David Wright, and you have the makings of a dynamic offense. We feel we are one big bat and veteran presence away from truly being a legitimate contender, and we feel that special player is Carlos Delgado. Not only is he a proven offensive force, capable of carrying a team for large stretches, but his guidance and leadership will help our young players immeasurably. Thank you for your consideration.
