Please save The Omen from remake hell!

The Omen is a movie that we, the undersigned, believe has stood the test of time and still holds up as an excellent movie today. With impeccable performances, a great style and chilling score, it still stands as strong today as one of the greatest horror movies ever made. Is it really possible to improve on this with a contemporary version? Psycho certainly didnt. Why not re-release this instead of remaking it? Surely to introduce The Omen to a whole new generation in its original form would be much more satisfying. The hurried manner in which this is being remade to fit a release date of 06/06/06 just cheapens the whole thing even more. We strongly believe that you should rethink what you are about to do to such a classic movie.
