A Call to the Citizens of Prince Rupert, Port Edward, Terrace, New Hazelton , their respective Mayors & Council And the BC Gov't.

The purpose of this here enclosed is to educate, solicit and enforce the support from all the people in any of the cities, towns, villages, etc that have been adversely affected in a dramatic way by the so-called mandate that the BC Govt said it had been given in returning the Skeena Cellulose to the private sector upon there election to govern.
I am suggesting this petition to launch an initative against the BC Govt, so that in a timely fashion, this same Govt will receive in hand, much the same as appealing an order or decision in court, the paperwork to proceed with an action (initiative) against them. If each community is able to muster an overwhelming majority of their citizens to sign the document, then I say the people have spoken and in fact have given a clear unequivocal mandate to the Govt of BC on how to proceed.
First, - each communitys outstanding taxes and resulting shortfall (deficit) in regard to this, be immediately resolved (paid) by the Govt of BC. Secondly, - the Govt of BC shall seek to recover what is paid to the communities from the present and/or future owners of the New Skeena Cellulose or upon liquidation of all assets.
The logic behind this concept is first to avoid a costly round of dancing of the lawyers in court and to show the BC Govt that we have torts against them. The first, being that a fair and open tendering of the defunct company in question was not given nor enforced and resulted in giving exclusivity to individual entities that expressed an interest. The second, being that there was no effort made to ensure, let alone enforce that each communitys outstanding debts (taxes) were paid or in hand in the form of a bond before ownership was given. I ask anyone to come forward if they can show additional torts in this matter.
I am thus soliciting support so that this resolution of the taxes is accomplished as any other option so far presented at budget meetings are rather mute points which only puts this community and likewise others in further peril needlessly over a 30plus year time span and further hinders our collective ability to prosper let alone entice new investment in another of BCs dying communities. Tax-payers will be paying well into the future for something orchestrated by our elected representatives and services keep getting cut! Why?
