Preserving Utah's Trees

Living in Utah, Ive noticed people cutting down trees just to build homes, where in most other states, they dont chop them down unless its necessity. First off, houses are being incredibly overpopulated, and preserving wilderness areas mean absolutely NOTHING to them here. Well, Ive been living in North Ogden for 5 years, and the first day I moved here, the large trees along the road were butchered; their branches were literally stumps. So, today I was on my way home from school and I caught sight of some men trimming up the trees. I pulled over and watched in dismay and anger as they kept cutting and cutting until all the branches were cut back to the main branches. I peered down the road and gasped as I saw the larger ones had been hit the worst. THEIR branches were cut so far back, that the large main branches were now stumps, they were almost completely cut down to the trunk of the tree. I was infuriated. The 5 years Ive lived in this city, those trees have been trying to grow back, and finally wereuntil today.
Those poor trees, they will have no way of sheltering themselves when the scorching summer hits. they will have no leaves release carbon monoxide, so they will get sick and die.
This is a petition to preserve the trees in Utah, if you care about the environment as I do, please support this. I cant do it without you guys. Ill need 100 signatures at the minimum.
after I get the signatures I need, I will then take this to the state and have it passed as a law.
