PREVENT ISRAEL FROM POLLUTING OCCUPIED SYRIAN LANDS WITH NUCLEAR WASTE

 

According to recent reports from Israel, the Israeli occupation authority is
digging a huge tunnel in the occupied Syrian land. As with the whole Israeli
nuclear program, which existed for many years before Israel admitted the
existence of such a program, these mysterious movements are done under secrecy.
The word of mouth that this new underground facilities are used for nuclear
waste storage is spread among Syrian people in the occupied territories.

 

By using the occupied Syrian land to store nuclear waste, Israel is breaching a
grave violation of international law and Geneva conventions and seriously
endangering the environment of the whole area. It is a real paradox in the
current international policy that the Israeli weapons of mass destruction are
not inspected and not treated with seriously, although the current US government
is using this pretext to attack a country after another based on fabricated
reports.

 

We call for an urgent international intervention in investigating this serious
issue before it become irreversible with all its catastrophic results on nature
and life in this important area for Syrian and neighboring countries.

 

We call you to pressure the Israeli government to stop its abuse of people and
land in the whole Arab occupied territories, and to sign the Treaty on the
Non-proliferation of Nuclear Weapons allowing International Atomic Energy Agency
to inspect its nuclear facility in Dimona and the reported dangers of this old
facility and its secret waste management.

 

The cooperation of the international organizations and the NGOs in revealing the
dangers of the nuclear weapons of Israel is the only way to pressure this
occupation government to stop its illegal activities that are harmful to the
environment and life in the whole region.

تفيد التقارير الواردة من إسرائيل بأن سلطات الإحتلال تقوم بحفر نفق ضخم في إحدى


المناطق الطبيعية في الأراضي السورية المحتلة لدفن النفايات النووية التي لم تصرح


في يوم من الأيام عن طريقة تعاملها معها.. وأحاطتها، كما هو برنامجها للتسلح النووي


، بنطاق من الغموض والسرية .



إن قيام إسرائيل بدفن النفايات النووية في الأراضي السورية المحتلة، يعد انتهاكا


خطيرا للقانون الدولي واتفاقيات جنيف ، ويشكل مصدر خطر بيئي داهم على المنطقة

بأسرها.. وهو ما يستدعي تدخلا دوليا عاجلا قبل أن يصبح أمرا واقعا، ولا يعود

بالإمكان تغييره أو التخلص من آثاره المدمرة للطبيعة والحياة في هذه البقعة الحيوية


بالنسبة لشعبنا السوري ولمواطني أكثر من بلد مجاور.



ومن مفارقات السياسةالدولية المعاصرة أن هذا الأمر الخطير يتم في الوقت الذي يتهم


فيه بلدنا من قبل حماة إسرائيل في البيت الأبيض بأنه يطور الأسلحة النووية و

الكيماوية!! و هي اتهامات كاذبة ما فتئت الدوائر الأمريكية و الصهيونية ترددها دون


أن توفر أي دليل على وجودها.



إننا، و من موقع الشعوب التي تدافع عن أرضها، نطلب إليكم التدخل و الضغط على

إسرائيل من أجل التوقف عن الإساءة للأرض و للإنسان في كل الأراضي العربية المحتلة..


وإجبارها على التوقيع على المعاهدات التي تحرم الأسلحة النووية، وضمان فتح مفاعلها


النووي في" ديمونا" أمام هيئة الطاقة الذرية الدولية للتأكد من صحة التقاريرحول

الخطر الكامن في هذا المفاعل النووي الذي تجاوز عمره الإفتراضي بسنوات طويلة مشكلاً


خطراً كبيراً على البيئة و السكان .



إن تكاتف المنظمات الدولية في سبيل كشف الخطر النووي الإسرائيلي هو السبيل الوحيد


للضغط على دولة الأحتلال من أجل التوقف عن المشاريع غير الشرعية التي تدمر البيئة و


الحياة .
