Honorable DALTON MCGUINTY
Premier and Minister of Inter-Governmental Affairs
Leg Office 281

Toronto, ONT M7A 1A4
Dear Mr. Premier:
I was advised to contact you regarding a request for a senior's discount in petrol.
You see, Sir, you need not use tax payer's money to grant this discount because most seniors when presenting their Senior's Courtesy Card in any establishment, like, McDonalds, the restaurant grants a discount like 10%.
It would indeed be very generous on your part if you could talk to the manger of PETRO CANADA - or any other petrol station to grant a senior's discount like 1-2 cents per liter.
This would draw most seniors to fill up at this station which could translate to some compensation for the station.
I trust you will find this proposal interesting. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely Yours,
SYLVIA R. Imperio VIGILANCE

P.S. See page 2 for the Premiere's reply to this letter.
ALSO IF YOU WISH TO SIGN THE ATTACHED PETITION. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

Dear Ms. Imperio Vigilance:
Thank you for your letter regarding a petrol discount for seniors. I am always interested in hearing about the things that matter most to seniors.
My colleagues and I remain committed to doing everything in our power to ensure that Ontario seniors are treated with dignity and respect. We recognize that the quality of life we are so fortunate to enjoy here today is a result of the hard work of our seniors: we will not forget that it is you and your peers who have built this province. We owe it to you to get you access to the high-quality services you need. We will continue working with seniors, our partners in other levels of government and our communities to ensure that happens.
As your suggestion would also interest my colleague the Honourable Gerry Philips, Minister Responsible for Seniors, I have sent a copy of your letter to him for his information.
Thank you again for writing. Your input is always welcome. Please accept my best wishes.
Yours truly,
Dalton McGuinty
Premier
