Queen For Live 8

To Brian May, Roger Taylor, Paul Rodgers, Phil McIntyre Ents, etc.

We, as music fans who hope to attend the Live 8 event at Hyde Park on 2nd July, would love for Queen to perform in some capacity, whether it be as just Brian and Roger, or with Paul Rodgers as well.

Queen stole the show in 1985 but this is irrelevant. It is not about stealing shows, it is about being there and showing support. No one cares if Queen are or aren't as good as they were in 1985. They care about whether or not they're there.

U2, The Killers, the Kaiser Chiefs, Coldplay and other acts have shows later that day. U2 will be flying to Vienna, as will The Killers who are supporting U2. The Kaiser Chiefs, the second support for U2, are apparently playing Live 8 in Philadelphia but that must be a mistake as it's almost impossible - but either way - if THEY can do it, so can Queen. Hyde Park to Lisbon is around 5 hours - plenty of time. If the will is there, it CAN and WILL be done. And we as fans of music, not just fans of Queen, WANT it to happen.
