Oklahoma faces critical teacher shortages in math and science. I support Oklahoma Senate Bill 78, which will provide a new route for talented professionals to change careers and become certified teachers. I support the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence (ABCTE) program and urge all Oklahoma legislators to take action to ensure that Oklahoma's children have the opportunity to learn from effective, highly-knowledgeable math and science teachers.
