We, the undersigned voters of the United States of America, hereby tie the minimum wage to the salary of the elected officials. Considering they work less and get less done than those of us who are earning minimum wage or a little above.
We also want the power of their paycheck given over to the voters who put them in office. The rest of us cannot control the amount of money we make, why should they be able to give themselves raises?
We also want them to receive the same benefits as the majority of Americans, in other words, pay for their own health insurance and receive Social Security upon reaching the retirement age they have set.
