This document is an official petition for the creation and hosting of a second Flashback Dance per year at Gateway Senior High School. The Flashback dance is arguably the most popular dance at Gateway High School. Any student or administrator at Gateway knows of the buzz that builds around flashback, starting even before the school year begins. The anticipation this year, 2006, was monumental. We, the undersigned, petition the administration and student government bodies of Gateway High School to undertake the planning and hosting of a SECOND flashback dance for the 2006-2007 school year, and respectfully request that this motion be continued indefinetely, for years to come. Seeing as how the Winter Wonderland dance has not been held in the high school careers of any current GHS students, and that we only have three dances per year, unless you are a junior or senior (in addition, it should be noted that ticket prices and other costs incurred for prom are inordinately high), we, the undersigned feel it would be most expedient for the school to add a second Flashback dance this school year and beyond. It is a fun and affordable dance that all can enjoy.

I totally agree. Tons of students cannot get a date for others dances, which is way flashback is great for all.

I believe this is a great idea. Not only will it be fun, but it will also bring in more money to the school to plan other things, or just lower prices to events that already exist.
