We petition them to retire jersey #57 on each of the aforementioned ball clubs.
Since being called up in 1991 by the team that drafted him, the Houston Astros, Darryl Kile has been one of the most professional and beloved players on every team that he had played for.
His untimely death sent shockwaves throughout baseball because not only was he a fan favorite at home but wherever he went. He respected everybody that he came in contact with no matter what their age, gender or race and we would like to return the favor.
We would like Darryl's jersey number 57 to be retired. We want people from here on out to know who he was and what a great person he was and we feel this is the best way to do so.
We are not just fans of the team we root for. We are fans of baseball in general, fans of human life and fans of properly honoring peoples memory.
