A Skatepark is a designated area specifically built for the use of BMX Bicycles, Skateboards and Inline Skates. These sports are rapidly growing and are almost as popular as mainstream sports such as baseball and football. Riding bicycles and Skateboarding gives the youth of today an alternate sport outside of the team sanctioned sports. Riding and skating also helps keep kids occupied with something to strive for rather than getting in trouble and breaking laws. Thousands of towns across the country have parks just like these, but richmond does not. There is a skatepark but no bikes allowed? In all the towns throughout indiana, there are individuals interested in bmx with nowhere to legally ride. People take action to build skateparks then all the sudden, no bikes? So they go out and ride places illegally. This is a problem because no one would be breaking the law if we(bike riders) had somewhere to physically go and ride. We dont condone law breaking, but at this point there is no other place to ride.

A park but no bmx arent we Americans. Skateboarders and Inliners have the FREEDOM to ride but NO BIKES. I'm sorry but it seems unpatriotic to me.

i don`t see a reason not to let bikes in most of the skaters and bikers get along and its not fair to keep bikes out its also not fair for me to ride by it and lokk at it but think i`m not allowed to be on it i mean its right there

I don't even live around Richmond, but you really need to not be biased against bikers. It has been proven that in the long run skateboards do more damage to skateparks than bikes do. Allowing skateboarders and not riders is utter nonsense. You can't give
