As Chairman of Newcastle United, you must be aware of the recent malcontent and disaffection present amongst the fans of the club. Our performances have been lacklustre, our performances non-existant, and our results less than passable.
The cause of this? Sam Allardyce. He continues to repeat his mistakes, failing continuously to learn from any of them. We buy a 6 million left-back and he can barely make a place on the bench; instead we choose to field Charles N'Zogbia in his place, a left-winger, clearly out of position. To any other manager in the Premier League, this would be madness. We are losing 1-0 to Wigan, and we replace Damien Duff with a left-back!? This is sheer folly.
We are Newcastle United. We cannot afford to play Derby and Wigan, receiving just 1 point out of 6 from the bottom two teams in the League.
Mr Mort, you have seen the matches yourself. You have stood with the fans as we lose to teams far beneath us in the League, all because of sheer incompetency of management. Six months into the season and we continue to lose and our problems are going no where. Mr Glenn Roeder was sacked for finishing in a similar position to where we are now, except at any given time Mr Roeder had half-a-squad out injured. Sam Allardyce does not face these problems. He has a full squad, essentially. Mark Viduka, Alan Smith, Obafemi Martins, Damien Duff, Damien Duff and Charles N'Zogbia all on the pitch against Wigan, and we cannot conjure a single goal? Something is clearly, fundamentally wrong.
The answer? We urge you to reconsider Sam Allardyce's position as manager, and, regardless of financial implications, move to replace him with someone truly world class.
