Sandbach High School's Year 10 Exemption From Compulsary New Uniform

we, the students of year ten at Sandbach High School, feel that it is inconsiderate of the leadership group to expect us to buy a whole new uniform for under 40 weeks of wear, when usually they would have around 100 weeks of use, over a two year period of school.
also, there is government legislation that states that when changing uniform policy, they should consider the timeframe that they introduce the uniform, including the length of time before a pupil leaves the school. Examples of schools who have used a school year to introduce the uniform, are Alsager School, who very recently changed their uniform, albeit to a better looking uniform, but nonetheless, similar to our schools plans. However, our school told us officially told us the new uniform policy in April. Using the example of a years changeover, this would take us up to April 2009, and by then, buying the new uniform would be extremely pointless.
However, the main reason that we do not want to buy the new uniform for next year, is because we really dislike it.
