We, the undersigned are opposed to the apparent victimisation of cafй owners in the Morningside area, with the intent to shut down their operations including sidewalk trade. A case in point is Bean Bag Bohemia owner Guy Wood who has had his trading license revoked and threatened with arrest if Wood or any staff member with keys should open Bean Bag's doors. Wood is appealing the decision in the Durban and Coast Local Division High Court and this petition serves as a pledge of full support of his right to trade in Windermere Road, where hes done so for 12 years, and indeed the same would apply to any other restaurant in Durban.
