Save Carleton Place

Living in Carleton Place, Ontario is only made better by the natural resources that surround it. Not only the Mississippi River, but the swamps, ponds and beautiful animals such as deer, beavers, and loons add to the splendor and uniqueness of this town.

Small businesses, old buildings and agriculture are the charm of this historic place. All the things Carleton Place has to offer to the world are disappearing. We are submissive to large corporations, chain restaurants and new developments - case in point, Shoppers Drug Mart, which was built on top of an area of wetland that was home to deer, muskrat and turtles. This crucial ecosystem was destroyed to make way for a third pharmacy in town.

Please help us save whatever we have left, help us cease progress and allow nature to flourish. We arent Kanata, lets keep it that way.
