.:This petition is to back up the company Rockstar Games from their lawsuit that was recently filed against them and other affiliated companies:.
In the news a few families are sueing Rockstar Games, Take Two Interactive, and Sony Entertainment for $246 million. This is because a few impressionable teens got bored and decided to act out the game 'Grand Theft Auto' in real life by shooting at passing cars. One person was killed and another few people were injured in the attack.
Now just because a few idiotic teenagers chose to partake in such an act, the families of the victims are sueing the game makers and marketers. We need to let everyone know that not everybody is going to go out and act their favourite scenes from violent games. There are morals in this world, and 99\% of gamers know that it's wrong to act out violence from video games.
I do feel for the families involved, but if we sued everyone for giving eachother ideas, then why dont we just shut ourselves away in a cave, from Television, Video Games, the Internet, and REAL LIFE. I do agree that certain games should have higher ratings so they are not accessible to infuencial youngsters, but this lawsuit is not the way to go about it.
Now a few bad apples are going to ruin the experience for the rest of us and perhaps see to it that the series will not continue. So please sign this petition to prevent any action being taken against the creators and marketers of the game 'Grand Theft Auto'.
