We the undersigned, strongly support Jean Hamlyn Daycare Centre and want it to remain open and in the hands of Dufferin County.
We assert that Jean Hamlyn is a part of our heritage that you should be proud to support. It has provided outstanding childcare for over 35 years; turning out successful students and members of society. We believe that future generations of children should benefit from this quality care.
We believe that the children and families of this county are worth 1% of the budget or $12.78 per household annually, especially when the cost per household is $136 for Dufferin Oaks Home for the Aged and $41.34 for the Dufferin County Museum. We hope that you don’t truly believe that the children of our community are less valuable than aging residents and artifacts?
We urge you to listen to your constituents and acknowledge and honor the call of this petition. Keep Jean Hamlyn Daycare operating as a County run daycare centre.
