Loyola University Chicago has been granted permission to begin construction to erect the Information Commons, an annex to Cudahy Library. Although a wonderful building that will provide study space that is very desperately needed at this university, it is being constructed on Jes Res lawn, a very valued piece of lakefront property on Loyolas campus that is one of its kind. It has been used as a place for students to study, hold events, relax, and reflect while taking in the magnificent view of the lake. We would like to have administration not build on this particular site, as it is very important to the Loyola student and Rogers Park community.
Sincerely,
The Loyola and Rogers Park communities
