The officials at Giant Eagle headquarters have announced their intention to close the Cornersburg Giant Eagle located in the City of Youngstown. The Cornersburg Giant Eagle serves thousands of customers from Youngstown, Boardman, Canfield and Austintown areas. Additionally, it is within walking distance for many senior citizens and serves as an important part of the Cornersburg business district.

Not everyone wants to shop in the big Giant Eagle in Austintown or Boardman. It is MUCH easier to shop in Cornersburg for many people.
