Mr Murray is one of the best loved teachers at Alva Academy, and has inspired many children to 'think outside the box' in his time in Alva's Religious, Moral And Philosophical Studies department. Mr Murray is being forced to retire from his job, against his will, on the grounds that he turns 65 in May, and we believe it is wrong for this to be happening.

With an aging population and many teachers not up to scratch it is of the upmost importance that the good ones are kept in the profession regardless of age. If the teacher is capable of delivering then age descrimination should be taken seriously.
