Save Special Unit 2

This petition has been started to show the support of fans everywhere for the United Paramount Network show "Special Unit 2." Recently, it has been revealed that production of the second season of "Special Unit 2" has been halted and that the network intends on canceling the show. This cancellation of UPN's third highest rated drama is a grievous mistake and will prove detrimental to the network's future. THEREFORE, We the fans of Special Unit and of high quality television, implore the network to re-consider the cancellation of Special Unit 2.

The ramifications of this cancellation are a step backward in the growth of the United Paramount Network itself. "Special Unit 2" has brought millions of viewers to UPN and together into what has become a family. Fans of UPN's recent additions, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Roswell, have tuned into the show and have become part of the community that surrounds "Special Unit 2." We have been united and are forming friendships that will last a lifetime. It would be a shame to let that sense of community that UPN is building just crumble away, and a shame for UPN to forsake such a valuable asset. This is a community that builds a network, much like how Fox was when it became huge with X-files. "Special Unit 2" can be that cornerstone if allowed the opportunity. It deserves a chance to do so.

With believable characters, a cast with great chemistry, and wonderful writing, "Special Unit 2" provides an insight into the human spirit and the friendships we all make. Despite having many layers of comedy and creatures, the show has a heart that cannot be broken. We have signed this petition not to just stand up for "Special Unit 2," but also for the high quality level of entertainment that it represents; as well as the sense of community it brings to UPN.
