I, and my fellow signatories, hereby make these promises to you:







1. We will always respect you for regardless of the difference in our sexual preference. We will never, ever, call you "Gay Guy" simply because you disagree that a person should be limited to an opposite sex relationship. In fact, we encourage you to dissent and disagree with us.







2. We will let you marry whomever you want, even when some of us consider your behavior to be "different" or "immoral." Whom you marry is none of our business. Love and be in love -- it's a wonderful gift.







3. We will no longer encourage you to name your first child "Paul" or "Stench". It's your child, it's none of our business, really.







4. We will halt calling you a Mormon based on your choice of clothing.







5. We will halt calling you Russian because we all know you are Filipino.







6. We will stop calling you Pretzel even though it fits you for some reason.







7. We will never stick our nose in your bedroom. What you do there as consenting adults is your business. We will continue to count your age from the moment you were born, not the moment you were conceived. And how you spend your salary is entirely your business, whether it affects our nights out or not.







8. We will cease humming the ABS-CBN tune whenever we see because it has lost its novelty and it is now time to move on to a new joke.







I promise all of the above to you because you are my countryman living in a free country. You are every bit as Filipino, as UTG as we are. We are all in this together. We sink or swim as one.
