We, StFX students, alumni, staff, family and friends ask that you reconsider the decision to replace the student run Campus Police Force with a University run Student Security Staff.
The Campus Police Force has a long tradition of professionalism, student outreach and a standard of excellence. This organization is unique to StFX and plays a vital role in keeping StFX at the top of all Undergraduate experience. Eliminating such an important organization is a step in the wrong direction and a step towards normalizing the Xaverian spirit. This is an extremely short sighted decision that neglects the impact on student life.
By affixing my signature below, I would respectfully ask StFX Administration to review this petition, the support it shows, and consider keeping the Campus Police Force a student run Organization.
