The Discovery Channel Cycling Team was the greatest team in cycling history. This team was responsible in large part for Lance Armstrongs record seven consecutive Tour de France victories, a feat no other cycling team has achieved. We fans of cycling are deeply saddened that this team has decided to disband.
The accomplishments that Lance and the other members of the Discovery Channel Team have achieved have brought many new fans in the United States and elsewhere to the sport of cycling. Please dont allow a few allegations of drug use to undo all these achievements. Disbanding this great team now would be like the New York Yankees or the Dallas Cowboys deciding to fold. We cycling fans deserve more than that.
It is in cyclings best interest both in the United States and the rest of the world to allow the Discovery Channel Team to continue.
