Save the Heard

We, the following, hereby request that the City of McKinney preserve and protect the bio-diversity and natural habitat of the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary by restricting the proposed land development of the 60 acres currently part of the McKinney Country Club. The "Serenity" community summarized in an application placed by Dowdey, Anderson and Associates, Inc and Goodman Land Advisors reflects a high-density neighborhood which will disrupt the preserved land of the Heard Museum and its inhabitants. The current Agricultural District (AG) zoning allows for open spaces and responsible development of the land surrounding the Heard Museum. Please, vote against the proposed change and protect the land in question from any future zone change.
