Save the True North

It is time for all loyal Canadians to stand on guard for a true national hero. Wiarton Willy is under attack by those who seek to undermine our way of life. Willy is more than just one of our native sons, he is the embodiment of the promise of a bright tomorrow. He has only ever promised us that spring will arrive and he has never let us down. How many of our politicians can say the same?

Wiarton Willy has always exemplified the spirit of Canada and the hopes and aspirations of Canadians. Willy so loved the true north that he sent his only begotten native son to spread the message of the cultural mosaic amongst the unenlightened. Pucks O'Plenty Phil went to Pennsyvania where his name and his message were perverted. He proclaimed our right to have bare arms and never suggested we bear arms. Tragically, this beacon of warmth was extinguished when a band of crazed American extremists beheaded our beloved Pucks O'Plenty near the beginning of another spring.

The evil of creeping Americanism has crossed the border. Look around and you will see the misguided souls wearing their Budwieser shirts and caps shouting words of encouragement for sports teams from obscure places like Cinncinati. Worse still is the call for violence. I am sure you have all seen the emails and FaceBook posts demanding Wiarton Willy's blood. We cannot allow this to happen! It's time to stop the madness.

In the name of the father, Wiarton Willy and the son, Pucks O'Plenty Phil, and the spirit of spring's sunlight I ask you to not only 'Like' and 'Share', but sign the petition to have Willy inducted into the Order of Canada. So many lesser Canadians have been honoured. If a boy named Jean can be inducted, why not Willy!!??
