South San Jose Youth Soccer League (SSJYSL), in an effort to allow for a continued safe playing environment for over 1000 children, petitions the Superintendant of the Oak Grove School District (OGSD) to partner with the district by providing funds and or volunteer assistance in order to obtain rights to keep up and repair fields that we use for soccer OR to ask OGSD to provide acceptable care of fields.
SSJYSL is willing to donate time and/or funding to this important effort to ensure that our fields remain safe. Over the last several years, the field conditions have decayed. SSJYSL is concerned because our organization is prevented from maintaining the fields and the district is failing to maintain them in good playing condition even after our league has offered to provide funds for these purposes. OGSD has directed SSJYSL that it is NOT TO CONDUCT MAINTENACE that interferes with union-related responsibilities while simultaneously not holding the appropriate union or personnel accountable. The unnecessary result is muddy, unlevel soccer fields.

In addition to this petition, we are petitioning East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) to allow the League to use Santa Teresa High Schools turf field on Sundays between the hours of 9am and 6pm and other days of the week on a not to interfere basis with Santa Teresas own athletic and band activities.
SSJYSL requests your support of these vital initiatives to help provide sports to our communitys children, to help provide them safe after-school opportunities, teach then team-work and help them develop into responsible citizens.
