It is inconceivable, at this day and age, that the American Gold Star Mothers, Inc would deny a place of solace and recognition, for freedom priced so heavily and paid in full by Mrs. Ligaya Lagmans son Army Staff Sergeant Anthony Lagman.
Staff Sergeant Anthony Lagman died at a distant land, in Afghanistan, under the banner of Stars and Stripes protecting all that is decent, all that is Free, and all that is good in us, sons and daughters of liberty. The least all Americans, including the American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. can do is to recognize this sacrifice. Anything less, would desecrate and disrespect the very same sacrifices made by those who have paid their full devotion to this country, the United States of America.
As such, we respectfully petition the American Gold Star Mothers, Inc to include Mrs. Ligaya Lagman (a permanent U.S. Resident, from White Plains, New York) in the associations roster of gold star mothers. Furthermore, we respectfully petition the same, to amend the associations rules governing the recognition of a Gold Star, to include mothers with Permanent Resident (of the U.S) status.
